Song of Solomon 3:4
“I have found the one whom my soul loves”
We cannot share this story without acknowledging the unmistakable hand of God at work in every intricate detail. Through every twist and turn, it has been His divine guidance orchestrating our steps and bringing us together.
After arriving in Manchester, I was invited to a church. Initially, I thought it would just be a one-time visit, and I had no intention of becoming a member. However, as soon as I walked in, I felt a shift in my spirit and a deep sense of belonging and purpose. It was as if God was softly saying, “Your long-awaited prayers have been answered.”
Those words filled me with hope and inspired me to start praying about marriage, trusting that God was leading and guiding me.
Not long after, I saw Hannah at church. She was reserved, quiet, and carried a grace about her that caught my attention. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Quietly, I began mapping out a plan to share my feelings with her, all the while praying for God’s guidance.
Before I approached Hannah, I confided in my pastor about my feelings for her. With his encouragement, I gathered the courage to ask her out on a date. To my joy, after a little wait, she said yes.
From the start, my mission was simple and clear. I told her, “I like you, and I want to settle down with you.” But I knew it would take time for her to process what I was offering. True to her nature, Hannah was cautious. It took several months before she was ready to open her heart to me.
As we spent time together, her initial reservations began to fade. I watched as her fears dissolved, replaced by trust and love. Our journey together became a living testament to the truth of 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.”
Today, I look back and marvel at how God orchestrated every step of our story. What started as a simple prayer for restoration turned into a beautiful journey of love and partnership. Hannah and I have experienced God’s faithfulness firsthand, and our relationship is a reminder that He truly makes all things beautiful in His time.
For anyone struggling with the idea of giving love another chance, let our story be a source of hope. God is a God of restoration, and when you trust Him, He can turn your pain into something beautiful. He knows the desires of your heart and has a plan far greater than anything you could imagine. Trust Him, and watch how He makes all things beautiful in His time.
